Umbro India joins hand with FC Goa for ISL 2016

FC Goa recently announced Umbro as the official kit partners of the Goan franchise for the Hero Indian Super League in the third season. Umbro’s association with football goes all the way back during their special sports wear inventions and sports tailoring based out of Manchester. This original British based sports brand will be providing the official training kits for the team and coaching staff this season.

I was ecstatic to be a part of a special Bloggers Meet with the key players of the FC Goa Team – Robin Singh, Jofre Mateu Gonzalez and Lucio. Umbro has specially tailored unusual colours for the FC Goa team. I chatted up with all 3 of them about their passion for the game and what do they have to say to all the young kids and teenagers who aspire to play football professionally. All 3 of them had one thing in common, which is dedication, hard work and love for football. Getting professional guidance is the step towards fulfilling your dream of playing for the team is what the go-getters had to say. Robin Singh has been playing football since the age of 9 and being trained with a UAE Pro League Club and in England by Mel Eves. He now plays as a forward for FC Goa in the ISL. Jofre Mateu Gonzalez, a Spanish professional footballer who is a key player of Club FC Goa as a left mid fielder. During his 11 Seasons, he has played a total of 332 games so far. Lucio is a Brazilian footballer, who plays as a central defender for FC Goa ISL. This strong, tall and fit man makes for a perfect and a strong defender.

They have a long and rich tradition of working with some of the biggest names in football and we hope to add to that. We have a huge passionate fan base here that will look to proudly display their official jersey when the season gets underway. I loved the recent sports collection that was launched by Umbro and apart from being super comfy, all the fabrics are breathable and they have super sweat absorbent quality. This event was held at Planet Sports Store at Infiniti Mall, Malad where all 3 players signed t-shirts, jerseys and clicked selfies with so many fans who dropped by to show some love. Don’t forget to show your support for FC Goa during ISL 2016.
