The ASUS ZenPad Bloggers Meet
When I got to be a part of the Asus ZenPad 8.0 launch I was super thrilled and was looking forward to the actual user interface. The evening turned out to be a super duper fun-filled one along with a first hand experience into the Asus Zenpad world. I knew that the new Asus ZenPad runs on an Intel Processor and it is equipped with a Visual Master HD display. My first impression of it just by the sheer looks was that it looked sleek and gave an edgy finish with the cover especially. It is like actually carrying a small compact diary with you at all times. The image quality of this one is sharper, clearer and the brightness is much better.
Like always, Komal from Corporate Communications, Asus India welcomed us all and she immediately set the mood right with giving a preview of what’s in store for us with respect to the quirky Asus ZenPad 8.0, the special blogger activity, the open house for some Q&A with team Asus and at the end, getting your hands on the Asus ZenPad 8.0 and trying it out for yourself.
The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C) is identical to the ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA), except it comes with a 64-bit 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3530. It also has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Asus ZenPad 8.0 has an outstanding display, good performance, and good RAM and built-in storage. The Asus ZenPad despite being only 8.0 x 5.3 x 0.26 inches (203.2 x 134.5 x 6.6 mm) and 298 grams feels solid and well made. The ZenPad S 8.0 is essentially unique among tablets for having a USB Type-C port, rather than a microUSB one. The Asus ZenPad runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is upgrade ready when Android Marshmallow is released. The Asus ZenPad 8.0 comes with its own unique UI the “ZenUI” and one feature I really liked was the Kids Mode built into ZenUI. This provides a web browser that won’t go to inappropriate sites, a built-in timer to set how much screen time children get, a way to control which apps kids get access to, and everything is password protected. Another outstanding and must have feature was the Audio Case cover which gives superb sound quality and great for watching movies and music. Overall for the price of the Asus ZenPad it is one of the best Android Tablets you could get.
Overall, it was a fun-filled Saturday, especially when my group along with other fellow bloggers won the Asus’s Zenpad activity round. Where we were asked to come up with a suitable tagline for the Zenpad and tweet the same, within minutes we were the winners hands down 😀 (The social media junkie in me grins).
