Lava launched its latest mid-range smartphone, called the Lava Iris X1 Selfie a couple of weeks ago. The novelty amongst other things being that this Indian manufacturer has promised to deliver high-end smartphone experience at super attractive and unbeatable price tag. The Lava Iris X1 Selfie phone comes with a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor , Mediatek MT 6580 processor with a remarkable performance.
The Lava Iris X1 Selfie phone comes packed in a standard retail box, inside which you can find A/C adapter, USB cable, headset, user manual as well as a screen protector.
The Lava Iris X1 Selfie phone is built using plastic with brushed aluminum frame running around the front panel of the phone. I must mention here about its contribution towards the solid in hand feel it gives to its users. Hence, this phone provides the best of both worlds – sleek looks and sturdy body. On the front of the smartphone, you have the display along with three capacitive touch buttons – home, back and menu. These virtual buttons find themselves on the bezel, below the display and are not placed on-screen. The secondary camera, LED notification and an array of sensors are located on top. All in all a very easy browsing device for an added advantage of getting used to it in a jiffy.The power button is located on the right side of the smartphone and the volume rockers can be found on the left. The 3.5mm audio jack along with USB port is placed at the top, which means that the bottom is completely vacant which is a good thing because most of us find it annoying if the audio jack is at the bottom.
On the front there is a 5 MP camera with a front flash for all your selfie shots. At the back is where the 8 megapixel camera lens, the dual-LED flash and a microphone noise cancellation pinhole can be found. The speaker grille has been placed at the bottom center. Underneath the back panel lie the removable battery and the three card slots – one of the microSD and two for SIM cards.

Lava Iris X1 Selfie phone is equipped with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The numbers add up to a pixel density of 218ppi – which is quite modest by today’s standards.
I give Lava Iris X1 Selfie phone a full 100 in terms of the quality, since the display has natural looking colors and the sharpness is quite noteworthy.
Lava Iris X1 Selfie phone comes with the latest offering of Android 5.1 Lollipop and the user interface remains largely similar to the stock Android. It has 1.3 GHz processor, Mediatek MT 6580 processor with the help 1GB of RAM manages to keep the device running smoothly.
The best part is that the Lava Iris X1 Selfie doesn’t come with unnecessary bloatware as the phone doesn’t carry any home-back or third-party software baggage.
