Well let me just begin by wishing each and every Goddess out there who is reading this blog post, a very Happy International Women’s Day. We women don’t really need any one particular day to be told or reminded that we are unstoppable but it does feel great to be appreciated once in a while for all the efforts we put in our work, family and profession. Don’t we all just love love?? And we also love being surprised, caught off-guard at times and told that we are wanted, loved, appreciated and just like we would actually travel miles and miles for our loved ones, so would they. I salute the Iron Lady spirit that resides in each and everyone of us girlies!!! And I also need to mention how touched I was when I-Sight Eyecare and Surgery Hospital decided to celebrate the spirit of womanhood and surprise them by sending their way some love way before the International Women’s Day arrived.
We women do think from our hearts and gestures like these really do mean a lot since they are showered with care and love. Shefali Batra – A founder Psychiatrist at Mindframes. She has also authored the book “Teenage Matters” for teens and their anxious Moms. She was all smiles when she received her I-Sight goodies and surprise. A true go-getter and a power to reckon with.
Shilpa Singh – Winner of Mrs India pageant, a supermodel and a super mom rolled into one. She is the perfect example of how efficiently we run our homes and careers too.
Shweta Desai, Prachi Mehta and Nisha Nasta – These are the women behind the super successful Koala Club Playgroup and Nursery. Who says women don’t get along? These three work best as a team and what a team it is. In just a couple of years their school has made a mark in this much crowded industry. Well done girls!! You need to be celebrated!!!
Hazel Keech – A leading model, actor, comedian, a dancer and an amazing person. She took to twitter to profess her love and happiness on this super sweet gesture of team I-Sight. Don’t we all need just a little love and a small gesture towards the celebration of life itself?
Dhanika Popley – Of the very famous Popley family. A young, dynamic, beautiful lady with a heart of gold, yes that’s not all. She’s got an amazing voice and is into “Art of Living” as well. We love her contagious energy and her spirit.
Dilshad, Geetanjali and Beverly –This is the terrific trio behind the Mann Centre for special kids. Behind every successful woman is another woman and they are proud to be each other’s backbone and support system in this exceptional endeavor.
Ankur Khosla – A celebrity architect who has designed beautiful homes for the who’s who including Shahid Kapoor and Shabana Azmi. I-Sight Salutes her acumen and her hard work. Her motto in life is – “Live life by design and not by default”.
Shifa Merchant – Lastly, it’s me!! My same old goofy, childlike, imperfect, stubborn, caring and loving yet completely dreamy, from yes I am sure to I am not in seconds!!! But what is constant in me is the will to keep moving forward, chasing my dreams and turning them into a reality one dream at a time. We all might come from different backgrounds, fields, professions, etc but what is common amongst us and amongst all of us all over the World is the fire in our bellies to achieve what we really want to, to be swayed by the wind but never break down and to treat everyone equally with love and compassion!
