Deltin Daman – A Hidden Gem

Day one of my Travel Diaries for my Deltin Daman Trip. This is a getaway that wasn’t planned, yet yearned for really long. Imagine when you don’t have the time to sit through the flight all the way to Goa and yet, you wanna hit the beaches, and step out of Mumbai just for a bit without spending too much time travelling, then here is this one hidden gem you cannot miss out on – The Deltin Daman. Firstly the road trip from Mumbai is just three hours away and by a train journey, it took us hardly two hours to reach Vapi. From Vapi, The Deltin Daman had sent a pick up for us, which arrived well before time since we got a confirmation call from the driver on our way. It is situated at an amazing 20 minutes drive from Vapi railway station.

The minute you drive inside the premises of The Deltin Daman, you will notice the vast and tremendously spacious location and the serenity amidst which this luxury hotel has been nestled. Also, the Vegas themed luxurious property gives you an close experience of being in Vegas itself. There were atleast 2 bellboys who immediately helped us with the luggage.

As we moved towards the reception, a welcome drink (chilled apple tea) refreshed us. Within minutes, we were escorted to our “King Deluxe Suite”, which had a breathtaking view of the clear skies and both the pools (the common one + the VIP one). Waking up to such bliss firstly was a delight and awesomeness too. The room itself brought a huge smile to my face, being so well designed again highlighting Vegas ambiance through their portraits, furniture and structure.

The walk from the reception area, out towards the pool side and right upto the hotel accommodation on the 2nd floor to our room was a breezy one. We also crossed on our way, an open round shaped terrace overseeing the pool and the entire hotel for open-air functions. Imagine a phera ceremony over there or a bachelorette party – would be an apt fit for either.

In the meanwhile, we just lay on our bed, freshened up and got all ready to grab a quick breakfast since it was around 11:30 a.m. We were little past the breakfast time, but the chef was kind enough to let us have our brunch. We ordered some tea, potato wedges and some parsi eggs and this is my new found love by the way. I kept ordering these Akuri eggs everyday for breakfast.

I headed back to the room for a quick change and we decided to get down to business with our first shoot. A cotton skirt by Karpassa clothing was the easy-peasy look of the day and with the mild sun shining brightly, I thought what better way than to chill amidst the Vegas themed hotel gardens. Separate look article will be followed soon I promise.

Around 3:00 pm we decided to grab a late lunch that the head Chef Mayur and his entire team had whipped up just for us and was arranged at the Emperor. The grand lunch of day 1 summed up the ethnic values and the food authenticity that the neighboring Gujarat province brings in. My personal favourites were these – Barra Kebab, Aloo Papdi Chaat, Ringanu Nu Oro, Ker Sangri Ki Sabzi and I can go on and on with the list. But you beauties will have to wait for a separate dedicated day 1 lunch post which will contain all the deets including the pics of the gorgeous food I hogged.

A lazy evening concluded with a power nap and some bath bubble. My late evening mocktail drink was chilling by the pool area with some awesome seating under the sky, cool breeze and never ending talks in a posh Vegas set-up.

With an eventful day 1, the head Chef Mayur prepared a very special in-house dining experience which we decided to order into our room. More details on the delicious dinner which was an Asian cuisine by the way, will be followed up in my next dedicated post article.
