Those of you who have been following me regularly know about the “BOGA” connection so far and my love for the wide range of their products. Last week, when I got to be a part of their store launch, I couldn’t have been any happier since the location they picked was right amidst the fashion hub of Mumbai – Waterfield Road, Bandra West. That being said, this one is going to be close to my heart for two main reasons – It was one of my first collaborations and second, the brand represents today’s fashion and brings to you in the most affordable prices which doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket. Plus the dynamic & feisty woman, entrepreneur and the owner of Boga, Pankita Vora, is a girl wonder who’s brought this idea to life. It takes me back to the day I met her & within minutes I knew this day isn’t far and here we are. Happy and elated! More power to you & this new venture.
For us women collecting the right hang bag is an art and trust me no better way to find all the right ones for all the occasions right from sling bags, frilly ones, clutches, carry alls, cross body bags, totes, shimmery bags, evening bags and also the trendy luggage bags which are a definite head turners. You name it and the store has it! The runway fashion is brought one step closer to you, since this one covers under its belt all the fashionista’s accessories and how. For me personally what stood out the most are the selective specially manufactured eye wear which comes with a mind-boggling casing, again hand crafted. This last month of summer has given Boga the scope to bring in the monsoon necessities too. You will find some exquisite Japanese umbrellas, which are single pieces only, and each design has it own tale to tell.
This style hub wouldn’t have been remotely possible without the undying love and full support from Pankita’s pillars of strength – her family. I got to chat up with this loving and proud bunch who were more than ecstatic to help her realize this dream. Her proud parents Prakash Vora & Harsha Vora and her uncle Mahesh Vora. Uncle Mahesh says with a confident smile, that she gets this streak of eye for good fashion from her grandmother and in their family they’ve given equal opportunities to sons & daughters to follow their dreams. I so wish everyone had this belief. Her dad also mentioned how she chose to finish her studies first and then pursue her dream, she’s been a go getter since she was little. It has been a striking start and an even more monumental way ahead with so much dedication, love for one’s job and the most important of it all – Family’s support in your endeavor!

Between all the celebrations we had a chance to sit down for a small chat and had a little Q&A with Pankita which I’m posting below :
Q. Where did the name BOGA stem from & who suggested such an innovative name?
A. Boga in Spanish does mean In vogue. When I thought I wanted to start something in fashion I just wanted a name that depicts the kind of stuff I am going to showcase and that’s how Boga came in.
Q. The shop stands amidst the fashion hub of Mumbai, so any message for all those regular and loyal Bandra shoppers?
A. Bandra is a shopper’s paradise, be it the roadside stores, the boutiques or the brands. Anybody in Mumbai or people who visit Mumbai make it a point to regularly visit Bandra for all their fashion shopping. When I decided that I want to launch the first outlet of Boga I couldn’t think of a better place than Bandra. Boga will offer fancy designer range of bags, clutches, sunglasses, and fashion accessories with no compromise on quality at the best price. So Bandra shoppers do drop by to get your hands on some amazing things.
Q. One inspiration for this, other than your family?
A. I’m really impressed by Paris Hilton’s style. I love the way she carries herself especially the choice of bags and accessories She just knows how to get it right!! For me when it comes to style it has to be Paris Hilton and when it comes to my products I always look up to her style for inspiration.
Q. I know your sunglasses are specifically manufactured as per your designs and artistic finesse. Can you share with the readers an insight into what goes behind the BOGA wear to bring the collection for one & all.
A. Eyes are one of the most expressive parts of the human body so keeping them safe yet stylish is the motto behind BOGA wear. We at Boga make sure all our products maintain high quality and when it comes to eyewear we take extra care into it. They are completely UV protected with good quality glasses. We have a range of designs keeping in mind the classics, casuals, quirky, trendy to cater to people from all age groups.
Q.What would be the next big surprise and what’s in store for all the ladies out there ?
A. Surprise!! Surprise!! We have many plans for the next few months and we at Boga promise all the ladies that we will make sure you are always in style with the latest trends and designs. 🙂
