My Dream Space

This write-up is going to be really special to me for more reasons than one because firstly surprisingly I didn’t have to give it a thought even for a second as everything came to me like a pre-planned show reel. Yes, just like in the movies (The filmy kid screams inside me). And second reason being, what is life if you cannot add in a bit of you to your humble abode or as I may say, a very playful and quirky yet freakishly systematically well-arranged abode! (Remember, the character Monica from ‘FRIENDS’? Yup, that’s me when it comes to neatness.)

My Dream Space

It cannot be helped that whatever I think of doing or whatever I do, knowingly or unknowingly a sprinkle of fashion and style is somewhere swooshed across my ideas. The diva in me takes over for most of the times, and I am in full acceptance of living in my fashionable blogging world, topped with a slight touch of my love for the movies and an ardent admirer of inner beauty! Having said that, I constantly strive to give my best, be it my blogs, shoots, associations, brand pitches or the old days of film marketing too (yes, an ex-movie marketer). Being the Leonine that I am, I wouldn’t probably be able to get a shut eye knowing the fact that there could ever be a better way to a certain job / thing to be done. But since I don’t wanna ever skip on my beauty sleep, that never happens!!! 😉 Hence, I am deeply moved by Coco Chanel’s way of thought, that in order to be irreplaceable, one has to be different. There are no two ways about that.

This brings me to my place of living, loving, giving, nurturing and worshiping – My Home! Blessed with a warm family that constitutes my home and settled in an area which has another special place in my heart – Bandra, my home already shouts welcome as it has such happy faces in it. Besides the fact (all Mumbaikars will agree, well most atleast) that we wish Mumbai wasn’t getting filled with skyscrapers, I personally wish that we didn’t have to leave the city for few days for a getaway to a second home to find the larger space. Hence, when I have the chance to turn my personal quirky space into my own personal galaxy, I know all the details far too clearly as if I was to speak this, you would hear it in one breath & then wonder as to how did she do it? Yes that’s me… Welcome to my world, where my room will be shouting volumes about me, yet at the same time have an inner advantage of being way to useful too, almost irreplaceable & different 😉 Now you know what I meant!

My ideal dream room will be definitely having a walk-in shoe closet (this takes care of the shoe addict in me), a double sided full length mirror with a stand (for me to strut in style when I hurriedly walk into the room to decide on my lookbooks.. Double sided mirror so that I don’t have to rush to a particular spot in the room as my mirror will be rotating), multi-coloured open racks, stacked above one another in a vertical line (to display my fashion diaries, designs & a go-to place to stock up my most needed essentials) and last but not the least.. A small colourful box created near my window with lights on both sides (this will be ideal for my video blogging and you can imagine if I was doing a video on this subject, how colourfully funky my background will look! So, my room will be a well-balanced mix of playful quirk and a divalicious lass! Every corner would not only be standing out and be gorgeously crafted but at the same time like I said, what is the use of beauty if it won’t give usefulness a run for its money. Handy, classy, space saving yet full of SASS, that’s my dream space!!!
