My GQ Nights Fluorescent Statement with Stylish Affair

Right from a quick fix to designing a particular look for an event or an occasion, “Stylish Affair” has been my reliable goto label lately. One of the important fashion events that I got to be a part in December, was Van Heusen’s GQ Fashion Nights for men in Mumbai. My style brief to Stylish Affair was that I wanted to opt for a jacket which isn’t firm fitting, knitted if possible. And Wallah!!! They custom made for me a cowl neck fluorescent jacket with a double flap at the front, giving an excellent fall.

Firstly, fluorescent colours add so much of brightness and they uplift any look in a jiffy. I personally am a big fan of such colours and secondly my semi-formal attire with a folded draping at the neck was perfect right to the miniscule details. The criss-cross front with a side buttoned, cowl neck jacket with long sleeves made a perfect winter wear otherwise too. When the GQ Fashion Nights was all about the suited up men in so many different prints and bold colours, this jacket was my version of a funky jacket which is also winter friendly. Plus I know what most of you are wondering about. The shipping time, right? Well since they have all my measurements since I have placed an order earlier as well, this arrived in a week’s time. For the bottoms, I decided to throw in a pair of dark denims with statement gold earrings. I like the contrast of black in those earrings. As for my make-up I know most of you’ll know already I kept it very minimalistic with a gel eye-liner, pinch of peachy pink on my cheeks and on my lips Maybelline’s Baby Lips Candy Wow. This jacket by Stylish Affair was very chic yet contemporary take on the winter style but they have also some really pretty and drool worthy indo-western and ethnic attires too. I am planning on shooting with an Indian look next with my own modern twist to it, what say? I love it when what designs or fashion tales I have in my mind, takes an exact form in reality.
