This year too India International Jewellery Week started with a bang and I was one of the lucky ones to be invited to preview the jewellery showcase (yes, from the front row..Yippiee!!). Lots of different designers and brands from all over India presented their collection. When I speak of accessorizing with the right kind of jewellery that understands my needs and highlights my style sensibilities personally, one brand that stood out amongst the rest was definitely – DiamondTree Jewels. More so because of their stylish, youthful and contemporary designs, which were suited to be donned, both on Indian and western wear effortlessly!
DiamondTree by Cherry Sahni
A little insight into this trend setting jewellery brand – DiamondTree is the creative genius of Raghav Sahni and Cherry Sahni. Their main aim is to bring glistening and gorgeous jewellery to anyone and everyone who admires jewellery. For those of you lucky ones in Delhi, you can drop in anytime at their flagship store in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj and you can get a complete look into the stunning designer jewellery which has been personalized by Ms. Cherry Sahni herself. From customized ethnic pieces to personalized diamond jewellery, there is something for everyone at DiamondTree.
DiamondTree had presented their jewellery collection last year too in IIJW and this time around, they had a unique theme of their showcasing called – “Tassels”. “A tuft of loosely hanging jewels knotted at one end to adorn your being forms the underlying concept of my collection” says Cherry Sahni. Keeping the current trend of tassels in mind and intertwining it with the Mughal Era, this year’s Diamondtree collection is a blend of royalty with a creative edge. The collection blends together Emeralds, South Sea Pearls and Uncut & Full-cut Diamonds, jewels that will stay in your family for generations.
Every designer has an interesting tale to tell and their inspiration stems from the vision to bring something extraordinary for every woman out there. Here’s DiamondTree Jewel’s inspiration story :
Today’s Indian WOMEN – A Wanderlust – She is a globetrotter and is not afraid to explore new places and cultures. She travels from Morocco to Turkey, Britain to India. She makes her own rules and is not afraid to mix things up. One day she is in the lap of luxury in the palaces of Udaipur and the next day she is skimming the flea markets of Israel. The world is her oyster, and everyday is a new journey. Yet, she flaunts her Indian Jewels… just as she flaunts her free spirit. Cherry Sahni took inspiration from the 70’s romantic era where fashion was all about freedom, a variety of colours, eclectic looks and a tendency to mix and match different styles with each other.
The “Tassels” collection by Diamond Tree at IIJW 2015 give us, today’s women an opportunity to express our very own individuality and highlight our vision of style and creativity. And yes, “Entangles in our choices, influenced by what’s around; Tassels solve the confusion, contrary to how they sound!!”
The DiamondTree Fashion Show
This brings me to the most well deserved Show Stopper and an epitome of today’s perfectly well balanced woman of substance, with an unending sparkle in her eyes a smile full of warmth, Miss India 2015 – Aditi Arya. Rarely does a showstopper fit in so perfectly with the brand ethos and everything that the brand stands for. Within 2 minutes into the conversation, this leggy lass will make you feel so comfortable with an ease with which she speaks her heart out. I particularly loved Aditi’s flowery head-gear, again designed specially by DiamondTree, which added just the required mix of royalty and chic to her entire look. She looked absolutely stunning in her white princess like flowy lacy outfit. Catch her killer walk alongside Cherry towards the end of the show.
A big shoutout to Cherry Sahni for bringing forth these marvelously fresh, trendy, youthful yet royal designs for us in the IIJW 2015!
I was again privileged enough to get a one on one quick interview with both Cherry Sahni and Aditi Arya, where I ask them some fun and interesting things about IIJW 2015, Diamond Tree Jewels and the inspiration which she is for the girls all over the world!
Catch them here especially for all my followers and readers
