I was super excited for the day 5 of Lakme Fashion Week, which also happens to be the last day of this fashion extravaganza. Some of my most favourite designers showcased their collection on this day that included Rohit Bal, Karn Malhotra, Rahul Mishra for Reliance Trends, Sourabh Kant Shrivastava, Priyam Narayan, Neeta Lulla, Rimi Nayak, Prama By Pratima Pandey, Urvashi Joneja, Dhruv Vaiah, and Garo.
Out of these collections, few designs stood out for me personally and they also included pieces that I can see myself wearing from shoots to events and otherwise too. Rohit Bal’s designs boasted of an interesting concept of light show and a grand theatrical atmosphere. The colour palettes that ruled the evening were gold, ivory and jewel tones. His collection was named “Koroshini” and his collection was all about his signature designs with some beautiful silhouettes.
This is the true in-vogue fashion for the long run just like the awesome battery life of LYF Smartphones where the users get to use the phones in the best and optimum way possible. Other than the elements inspired range of the LYF Smartphones, they also have a chic design that is trendy and lightweight too. These showcasing at the Lakme Fashion Week 2016 truly embodied the quotient of technology meets fashion.
Just like your love for nature and their forces, Rahul Mishra Collection was inspired by LOVE & LOVE alone.
He presented his designs for Reliance Trends and it was titled “Knots Of Love”. Just like the title goes, his handmade designs consisted of shirt-dresses, jumpers, wrap tops leading into Indian attires of silk dresses and saris too. White, Blue and Black shades were the heart of his collection and each and every design was summery in every way possible.
Ileana D’Cruz walked for them as a showstopper and we cannot get over her back cut-out white and blue outfit!!
I chose to opt for a boho look for day 5 by transforming the red cherry necklace from Perfekshan Designs as a head accessory. Combining my love for the two of my most favourite fashion trends – ombre jeans by Being Human and floral printed top by Curious By Jeena Gupta.
