B-Town celebs sizzled on the ramp on the second last day of Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2016. The fact that such vast and ethereal fashion sensibilities emerged from various new and old designing studios, left the onlookers in awe of, the designs showcased. I wish I could include each and every design here for you guys to witness the awesomeness from that day.
I am listing down all my shortlisted personal favs from Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2016 and trying to fit as many. Enjoy!!!
Ajay Kumar –
Ajay Kumar’s collection was playful and full of life. He went Indian all the way giving in a very quirky Benarasi Touch to his designs. Slim fit trousers teamed with blazers on kurtas were a deadly combo.
Asa Kazingmei –
Asa Kazingmei’s Collection makes me longggg for those cold winters!! Such head turner leather jackets with embellishments and badges that simply transformed the utilitarian wear.
Ekam –
Ekam’s inspiration was Kimonos and the colour – RED. The Japanese themed designs took us right onto the streets of Tokyo in style.
Vedica Presents Shivan & Narresh –
This Collection was inspired by Vedica’s pure and fresh spring water and hence the outfits had fluid and flowy fashion quotient to them. The designer duo catered to the destination bride along with their jaw droppingly inspiring men’s collection. It was titled “Henri’s Affair” and it paid a tribute to the amazing work done by Henri Trosseau. Tropical prints rocked the ramp along with metallic work mixed with jet black fabrics on Day 4 at LFW Winter Festive 2016.
“Seamless Loops” By Pinakin –
Pinakin Patel presented “Seamless Loops” that had some fluid and chic patterns using georgettes and silks in metallic colours like copper, gold and silver. He drew inspiration from the 70’s fluid silhouettes fashion.
Lakme Salon Presents Payal Khandwala –
Lion Motifs ruled the modern bride’s dressing and added a fierce glam quotient to the collection. Also, the usual dupattas made way for some flowy capes.
Aaylixir
Some colour blocking goals achieved for the girl next door with a touch of sequined work.
Siddhartha Bansal –
The folk tales drove his collection and he spun a beautiful story around the magical Indian prints that were so bright and colourful.
Kanelle –
This is my personal favourite from the day at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2016. This Collection showcased a true and an unending love affair that we have with our denim jeans and it was aptly titled “Blue Jean Baby”.
The Label By Ritu Kumar –
Sporty, fun, vivacious and funky streetwear mixed with Indian textiles for a modern showcasing for the woman of today to be able to wear different looks as per the occasion. Kriti Sanon walked the ramp as a showstopper and she looked drop dead gorgeous in The Label’s attire for a perfect evening wear.
Shantanu & Nikhil –
Menswear done right by Shantanu & Nikhil. They paid a tribute to India’s freedom fighters through their strong and aesthetic designs. Malaika Arora and Ritesh Deshmukh walked the ramp dressed in black with a complete regal look.
P.S. – We loved the fur-lined shoes!!
Tresemme Presents Ashish N Soni –
Ashish N Soni changed the monochrome fashion game completely. The 70’s, 80’s and the 90’s era was brought to life with some oversized outfits. Not to forget the trendy hair, full of volume just like the way Monroe like it!! Jacqueline Fernandez waked as a showstopper and she won over our hearts once again with the Tresemme Voluminous hair.
