What’s summer without the sun and the glistening glow on your face and hair with the soft sunlight, right? Colours are an important part of your summer dressing. Be it your outfit, accessories or makeup and striking balance between all of these things is the key. Biba’s latest collection has an array of colours that will add to your sun-kissed look this summer. I had so many options to choose from as Biba covered so many of my favourite colours and hottest trends in their collection this season. But this cute sunflower coloured jumpsuit caught my attention, as it was a perfect mix of boho with ethnic roots. This was my Day 3 Outfit for Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2017.
The design printed that you see on this jumpsuit is an exclusive creation by Biba, which embodies and stands in sync with the multi-tasking woman of today. This print is called “the tribal roots” which is inspired by the tribal florals of Africa. I like the fact that Biba celebrates the cultural values across all regions and traditions. This brand new fusion look is going to own the summers in style. You can play with the accessories or add a light layering just like I did with a contrasting maroon. To add some sporty touch to this look I added my baby pink mesh shoes and my dual toned money sling. This summer is all about being playful with your looks, not being afraid to try new things, bedazzle in bright colours and go the fusion way. Did I mention that this jumpsuit by Biba is made using 100% cotton? So that’s one more reason why it should make it to your summer must haves list.
Have a look at some of my favourite collections from Day 3 at Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2017
Payal Singhal
“Lady M” was what Payal Singhal’s collection was called and it was completely inspired by Agatha Christie’s murder mystery Death on the Nile. Have a look at her glamorous collection.
Bollywood beauty Diana Penty walked the ramp wearing an ash grey, georgette, fully encrusted kaftan tunic with a net Deco jaal embroidered Lehenga.
Ritu Kumar
Gorgeous Vaani Kapoor played showstopper for Ritu Kumar’s latest collection “Majaraja Pop”. Vaani Kapoor depicted elegance in a bodysuit and floral bomber jacket. High shine cargo pants to vibrant embroidered army jackets were the highlight of the show.
Farah Sanjana
The very pretty Kiara Advani walked the ramp in a sheer, printed, layered, long, skirt with sexy printed peplum choli for Farah Sanjana. Her collection ‘Halcyon Days of Spring’ was a perfect mix of modern and baroque.
Falguni and Shane Peacock
The closing act for the day was by designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock who are known for their mesmerising fashion. The duo turned up the heat with their risqué cocktail collection, which was called “Rebel”. Closing the scintillating, dazzling show filled with utter glamour was Bollywood’s sensational star Bipasha Basu who looked amazing in a pastel plunged neckline crystal/sequin encrusted gown with long floor-length cape sleeves.
