Somehow when I listen to my mum, everything falls in place, be it a little late sometimes. So when she came up with the idea of designing a complete white on white look for Summer-Resort, I went ahead with it as my gut said, I haven’t tried this combination and I love donning her creations. Little did I know that the Grand Finale at Lakme Fashion Week 2017 Summer Resort presented by Anita Dongre will have the same white on white net designs just like the one I wore on Day 1.
Take a look at my mum’s creation, which is a separate white full-length a-line slip on teamed up with a front open bell sleeves net jacket. It also comes with a velvety tie up at the front to adjust your fit. A fairy look that is also Summer friendly and chic!!!! Thank Youuuuuu mom for this one of a kind creation.
I wanted to add some pastel love to it and hence the green and white handbag with cut-out detailing from Lavie works it’s magic with my attire. I didn’t want a bag that’s too big or too tiny and hence this one serves my purpose completely of carrying my LFW essentials. I was so thrilled when I got to pick dual toned metallic heels in the same shade again from Lavie. I so can’t wait to style them together on another look.
Coming to some of my personal favorite collections showcased at the Day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week 2017 Summer Resort, here is a quick peak into it.
The Gen-Next designers had a neo-futuristic take on the fashion for 2017 and we were in awe of their silhouettes and layering options. Take a bow Pallavi Singh, Nakita Singh, Poochki, Soumodeep Dutta and The Pot Plant who presented their individual unique takes on fashion.
Ka Sha was a personal favourite of mine with white tie and dye patterns bordered with hues of blue, yellow and green leading to muddy purple designs too. Crochet flowers and tassels replaced the conventional jewellery in their showcasing.
Antar Agni’s Collection focused on the modern Indian menswear. The solid black and beige and whites stood out in the most perfectly soft tailored looks.
Kunal Rawal bowled us over with his sleek separates and fun textures. Formal wear for men was re-invented at Lakme Fashion Week 2017 Summer Resort with high-low kurtas, jacket kurtas and longline bundis.
Eka was all about dreamy vintage looks inspired by traditional laces and wallpaper prints. The raw appeal combined with some relaxed wear in whites made for an ideal summer number.
These were the highlights of Day 1 at Lakme Fashion Week 2017 Summer Resort. Cannot wait to share with you all my other looks and fashions stories from that week!! Stay Sassy!! <3
