One look around all the hustle-bustle and you’ll know there are like a zillion things being sold through so many different ways. But how often do we get to be a part of an experience in itself where right from fashion, lifestyle, décor, beauty, décor, handmade, artefacts (the list can go on), etc are all brought together under one heck of a location. Out Of The Box who managed to get this time, 85 plus brands together for you to choose from organized one such fun filled day where there was a little something for everyone.
The Out of the Box Exhibition
Tote On The Turf, at Mahalaxmi Racecourse saw such a huge turnout right from the very beginning of a bright sunny day. I reached around 11:30 a.m. and stayed for more than 5 hours so you can imagine there was so much to see. Once you entered the venue, a live painting that was being painted by a very talented blindfolded painter welcomed you with a smile. Tote on The Turf was buzzing with both men and women of all age groups. Within minutes of me strutting over there and I had two women inquiring about my outfit and about my blog (feels so great to meet such happy bunch). Along with a huge spread of delicacies and gourmet dishes, some music for the soul and also saw some happy feet at the massage corner. The que never ended there :D.
I particularly loved a dedicated section across the open area where they had different hand crafted exquisite decorative pieces, jewellery and outfits, the proceeds of which went to an NGO. A special and big shoutout to Deeds and Helping Hands foundation for caring and supporting such a noble cause.
Out of so many big and small brands, these are the ones I tried my hands at and did some happy shopping too. Acacia brand had such chirpy, colourful and fun prints and fabrics for pillow covers, tissue box covers, etc.
One brand which I was eagerly waiting to get my hands on at Out of the Box Event since a long time and I finally got to browse through their vast and beautiful juttis collection personally is – “JuttiChoo”.
Plus the owner Amreen was too generous and kind to pose and add some cuteness to this pic.
Rengge Jewels was all about the accessories with some tassel twist and lots of character. Their collection had an unending range of unique accessories for one and all. ReshamDor’s stall was all about “potli bags” which are a must have on your traditional looks or wedding affairs. Check out my most favourite pink potli amongst the lot which has mirror work across the borders. Lola’s Closet also had some chunky jewellery you could wear right from your casual to party looks. Indian Hanger and Magic had some great kurtis and Indian wear options which took so many women by storm.
An art and painting exhibition by painter AR Ketan Jawdekar was an absolute treat to everyone’s eyes. The paintings ranged from free hand to deep thought provoking ones as well. I’ll let these pictures do the talking.
Such vibrant vibes, eternal styling options, fashion for one and all, noble cause, lip-smacking food, dips, healthy eats, drinks, sweet indulgences and exhibiting utmost care while bringing all of these tremendous brands under one roof with so many weeks of planning. I surely need to give a special mention to the managing partners – Misbah Mitha, Yash Merchant & Risha Merchant who have pulled off such a delightful and successful one with so many happy faces. All I can say is, I cannot wait till next time to shop, participate and experience yet another Out Of The Box event!
P.S. – There was so much for me to cover in the food section, that I have decided to dedicate a separate article covering OUT OF THE BOX – Foodie corner which will include all the intricate detailing about the yummies which got into our tummies :-D.
