With festivals around the corner, our wardrobe and styling sensibilities go from purely fashion driven to easy transformable and more. We all need those quirky and basic pieces that look versatile with any accessories or footwear. We all need that perfect pair of denim in our wardrobe that can be styled according to our moods and as per the occasion. A basic dyed jeans which is skinny and fits like a dream gets your job done like almost 50%. The remaining 50% is all about your pairing options and accessories. So for me personally the perfect pair of denim / jeans that I am currently obsessing over is Levi’s 711 Skinny Jeans in a classic faded blue shade. I’ve tried to put together 5 different looks using the same 711 skinny denim for you all. Let me know which one you guys dig the most!!
Denim Look 1 – Cool Casual Vibe!
This look will be an ideal pick for the shopping sprees or girl’s day out. Driven by an easy going and comfy fashion, the tucked in hand woven star shirt paired with skinny denim let me groove in style to the concert I attended. Since this look was for the day out shopping and then a concert towards the evening, I added an oxidized tassels neckpiece for some bling. Kept my heels short yet jet black with a same coloured bow. From morning to night, this look lets you play with accessories to suit to your fashion needs. Perfect for a cool casual vibe!!
Denim Look 2 – Girly & Playful!
This look is inspired by my love for flower prints and the colour red. I mixed these two inspirations for a fun girly number. An asymmetrical tunic, paired with a pleated, floral buttoned top to go with my same pair of denims. The fluid movements of the material, the half bun and an off-white diamonds studded bracelet, they all scream playful girl next door. An easy doing day-to-day fashion tweaked with a girly vibe. The multi-coloured juttis further add a quirky vibe to the overall look. This is usually how I am even when I am not working or shooting.
Denim Look 3 – Hello Boho & Bling
We all have that wild and carefree streak that every now and then comes out in the form of a whimsical dressing style. At times, the style aesthetics speaks for itself and once putting together the look we realize the power of the versatility of the pieces we own in our wardrobe. Such is a perfect, hand knitted and tassels top that screams boho from the word go. Paired with the same skinny blue jeans, with my hair tied into a bun and combined with a tribal neckpiece, this becomes a perfect outdoor ensemble. I added my golden, diamond studded heels on this otherwise toned down look for two reasons – Festive spirit & bling baby!!! This look can also be a perfect look this Diwali if you want to ditch the typical Indian wear.
Denim Look 4 – Indian Touch
What makes this skinny denim truly versatile is the endless dressing possibilities that comes with it. How can I forget to style a look with our very own desi-ness right? But I wanted to break away from the usual kurtis and tunics. Hence, I picked out a jacket, which is completely hand woven with “Phulkari” work right in the heart of Punjab by such skilled workers. I have tremendous amount of love and respect in my heart for such skills and hand-made art, which transforms the way we dress. A Phulkari jacket and denim is a perfect combo to dress up smartly, yet hang on to our traditions this Diwali. I opted for contrasting deep blue statement earrings, which are again handmade. Kept my footwear in deep maroon and golden, in the festive space. This is hassle free desi-ness with jeans.
Denim Look 5 – Hand Printed Layering
One can’t go wrong with a hand printed long slit cape and a caps sleeved black dress. Mixing up fashion and making layering fun is what was going on in my mind when I opted for this look. The same skinny jeans yet the complete outcome of this look is so different than the other styles. Comfy, dreamy and artsy, is what this look aims for. Added a black and silver necklace around the Chinese collar for some drama and finished my look with my criss-cross black wedges. From your movie dates to laid back dinners and everything in between, this is an ideal everyday wear.
So these were my personally styled 5 different looks with the same pair of denims. Versatile jeans that fits you well is all a woman needs for the right fashion statement this season.
