Hey my lovelies!! This time around, I’m gonna be addressing a topic which is usually requested on all my travels. Best way to get your teeth whitened/lightened, oral hygiene, costs and the duration. So here it goes. For someone like me who’s constantly on the move, I have always given priority to maintaining my oral hygiene first and then thinking of opting for teeth lightening treatments. I have had my share of trying the home kits, the whitening strips and even charcoal pastes, while I was in New York, but what I’ve realized is that the effects would be minimal or hardly visible compared to a hefty price that you end up paying. Make sure you speak and consult with friends and people you know before you narrow down a dentist as it is extremely important to know you are going to be in the safest hands. Dentzz is a worldwide leading dental clinic and they have various clinics all across the country in our Mumbai city, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Dubai and the best part about them is that patients fly across the globe from Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia or UK (across the globe), that are repeat patients. With repeat patients, I mean patients who have flown back for themselves or for another family member after the initial experience. This is one of the best qualities about Dentzz Dental Clinic which made me feel easy from the first time I dropped by. From state of the art technology to a separate swanky waiting area for patients between treatments, hygienic shoe covers, amalgamation of top-notch research and world-class German products, best team of dedicated doctors who will truly listen to you and your concerns, and an ever-smiling team, Dentzz truly had me floored from the minute I stepped in. I went to their town clinic which is located in White Hall. Psstt – A birdie told me, they are soon going to be opening another huge clinic in Bandra as well, so I’m beyond ecstatic.

The Process

After a quick chat of what shade I am looking at, I was asked important questions like are my teeth sensitive, am I a regular coffee/tea drinker, when was the last treatment done, etc so that the treatment can have products that suit you in the best possible way. This was totally a personal experience that goes beyond a regular dentist-patient relationship as they ensure you are aware about how to care for the overall health of your teeth.

I must mention here that Dr. Karishma spotted some redness around my lower grinder and she immediately informed me as we should definitely look into it as well once this is done and that cannot be ignored. This is what happens when you choose your dental clinic well. Kudos to the entire team for making me not fear dentists anymore!!!

I opted for 2 cycles of whitening that lasted for 15 minutes each and with every cycle, I was constantly checked upon for any tingling or sensitivity on my teeth. But since the products and gel they apply were so top notch that my otherwise sensitive teeth, DID NOT FEEL ANYTHING!!! And I mean anything.

I have heard so many incidents about gums bleeding, teeth hurting or being extra sensitive for weeks after teeth lightening but in my case, it was a smooth drive with no such symptoms.

They also used the latest technology, Philips Zoom Light which is the best light worldwide used by all the leading dentists to accelerate the whitening process. The teeth lightened lasts way longer with the zoom light than with the old regular lights. So do make sure to find out which lighting technology you are going to be under and the number of cycles too.

After 30 days of my treatment, my teeth are as shinier and bright as they were on the day I got the treatment done!!! So kudos to Team Dentzz and a special warm thank you to Dr. Karishma for making this all so easy on me.

My post care was pretty simple to avoid wine, coffee, tea for the rest of the day and I continued brushing and using my regular mouthwash. I have seen my friends popping pills and pain killers post their teeth lightening treatment but thankfully I didn’t experience any pain of any kind.
