Everyone gets all excited to put their make-up on, or to get makeovers. But when it comes to getting rid of the make-up at the end of the day, we get all lazy or don’t pay attention to it as much as we should. It is extremely important to take off the entire make-up from your face and neck at the end of the day or as soon as your event is over. The most glowing skin comes from taking the utmost care which also includes a careful make-up removal regime.
Other than setting aside some time for your make-up removing ritual, you should also keep your skin hydrated at all times. Especially in summers, one must increase the intake of water and healthy fluids such as coconut water. Doing this will keep your body and skin refreshed and replenished.
Here are 4 easy and simple steps of make-up removal by beauty expert Bianca Louzado that you should know and follow:
Step 1 – Use a good Make-up Removing Solution
Take a cotton swab and pour some make-up removal oil or solution on it. Make sure to use this on your face in circular motions and don’t rub it in hard. With light circular strokes, dab out the make-up cake from your face and neck. Invest in getting a good brand that suits your skin type.
Step 2 – Use Make-up Wipes
Post using your make-up remover, make sure to instantly use a make-up wipe and clean your entire face and neck with it. It is not advisable to keep the make-up removal solution on your face and a good make-up wipe will give you just the right squeaky clean effect your face needs.
Step 3 – Use a Water Mist / Water Spray
Spray some water on to a cotton swab and gently wipe your face with it. Once done, spray some water on your face and neck. This will further remove any excess oils or makeup, which you might have missed out on earlier. It is very important for the softness of your skin to never miss out on this step of make-up removal.
Step 4 – Use a Toner
After a long day of being at an event, party or maybe shoots surrounded by many lights, make-up needs to be removed carefully and your skin needs to be cleansed and toned immediately. Using a toner on your skin at the end will ensure that your skin doesn’t lose its elasticity and moisture.
Also, before using a toner, check to see if you have still missed some residual make-up on your eyelids. You can simply dip a cotton bud into your make-up removing the solution and get rid of the excess eye make-up. You’d be surprised just how many women forget to check this!
Healthy looking skin requires a lot of care and attention and it starts by following this super easy 4-step ritual of make-up removal.
