Hyatt Regency, Mumbai is all set to welcome seafood lovers like me for a specially whipped Crustacean Menu at Stax with an Italian twist. Crustacean has a Latin root ‘crustaceus’ which means having a thin crust or shell.
I personally think that Stax serves the best Italian food in Mumbai and the drive back to Bandra late at night with old melodious numbers on the radio make for an ideal date night scenario pot the dindin. Combine that with the all new Crustacean Menu At Stax and I am all set to relish these preparations.
We started off with freshly baked breads and some sun-dried tomato dip that are completely made in-house by their chefs.
For appetizers they have Lobster Carpaccio, caper berries, wild arugula with pickled ginger chives dressing and Maryland crab cakes that are served with arugula cherry tomato salad and remoulade sauce.
We opted for my favourite “Pan Seared Scallops” that were made with caramelized onions alongside orange vinaigrette dressing. I know getting that perfect pan seared scallop is so damn difficult in this city right? But luckily Stax has you covered for that.
Every single time we visit Stax, we make sure to try out the slow cooked crab soup, which also has mussels, lobster, scallops and asparagus in tomato broth, which is not too spicy, neither too bland. It is perfect for those who want to try out seafood, the Italian way.They also have prawns and roasted pumpkin soup, classic lobster bisque and crab and potato soup with bacon crumbs. A fresh variety for all meat lovers.
For the main course we chose Saffron infused risotto with Scampi and Lobster linguine tossed with slow cooked bisque that also has cherry tomatoes and argula. I like how the Italian flavours harmoniously combined with the crustacean menu. I can live on this on a repeat mode, I loved it so much!!!!!
Last dish had to be a grand one!! The humongous Alaska Crab Claws came with piping hot risotto Milanese and grilled veggies topped with garlic butter sauce. You guys know by now how much I dig Seafood and how particular I am with my seafood meals.
How can I not talk about their desserts!! Their Tiramisu is world famous and a must have when dining here at Stax.
