With the Wedding and Festive Season, we keep going back to few of our most favourite and trustworthy fashion pieces, not to forget the best traditional ones. Lehengas have always been the pride of the bride and a best friend to the bridesmaids and everyone else in the family too. Lehengas add the sophistication to your look and make it an ideal festive wear. Today in this look, I’m donning a deep blue “Anarkali Lehenga” which is my personal favourite and a must have this Festive Season. Plus with Anarkali Lehengas, you can create a controlled flair with either one solid colour or mix it up with different colours too of your choice. Taking it one step ahead to create a perfect harmonious festive look is this Jacket Lahengas by Anjali’s Creation.
Jacket Lehengas go all the way back to their origin in Punjab in the form of Lacha Lahengas, which have been, now modified to suit our Indo-Western needs. So what better brand than “Anjali’s Creation” which is based in the heartland of Punjab to nail the Jacket Lehengas look this season. They have a variety of Indian and Indo-Western options that can be worn for all those weddings and Sangeet functions lined up right ahead. I like their intricate thread work and handwork on all their designs, which make each piece a head turner outfit. They also have long Jacket Lehengas, which are for a more elaborate look.
I opted for a colourful floral printed jacket with a dangling gold motif on one side. It also came with a netted dupatta in the same deep blue shade that added a perfect contrast to the upper half. The jacket material was jacquard and tissue, which kept it from creasing easily. If you look closely, the entire outfit has a sheen to it, which went so well with my glam cut-crease make-up look. While selecting your Jacket Lehengas this season always ensure that the fit doesn’t look droopy and the jacket should fit on your shoulders with ease just touching the edges of your shoulder. If you are opting for embroidered Jacket Lehengas, try something new with nude tops and oxidized or gold embroidery with contrasting Skirts or Dupattas. Try and be playful with this elegant Wedding look.
