This festival season it’s time to stretch our boundaries & go beyond the regular colour palette! Holi is the first major festival of the year in India & along with it comes happiness topped with bright and colourful aura.
Holi gives us a reason to get all those colourful clothes out of the wardrobe & dazzle in it with smiles & Confidence!!. This HOLI, we need to experiment right from different prints to patterns but remember to flaunt those earthy, olive, ecru, classic browns, tinted pastels and tangerine shades with floral prints which are very much back this festival. The designs could be an eclectic mix of pleated skirts to fringed dresses. To finish the look, don’t forget to keep it simple with minimalistic jewellery & flats for that extra comfort.
You can see me wearing an olive coloured dress with playful floral prints with which you can’t go wrong with… Even if there are small hints of bright colour palette on the outfit, it lifts up the spirit & adds just the amount of quirk needed. Right from the big brands to the local shops in Mumbai which are currently over flowing with vast range of floral prints to choose from this festival season. Instead of the complete dress look which I am seen donning, you gals can prefer to just add that extra colour by wearing a printed colourful crop top or a jacket too.
I have opted for a medium sized gold metallic finished, black elastic belt which not only accentuates my body but also I prefer that slight touch of metal finish to this earthy & floral look. Black gladiator sandals with again a gold lining at the edges was an obvious choice due to comfort & relaxed look. P.S. – They could also provide you stylized relief from the constant running around during the festival!!!!
Keeping my love alive for – “Kill it with bare minimum!” I have again decided to go for just an over sized oval shaped deep blue stone ring on my finger. I have simply blow dried my hair for that easy, beachy, wavy hair hair with a hint of messed up curls !!!! I have given slight waves at the lower half of my hair & 3-4 small portions has proper curls & then I went ahead & just messed & mixed them all up without using a comb. to create the new look to go with the SEASON 😉 All this in less than20 minutes.. Yayyy!!!
With such a colourful printed dress & an even bigger colourful event, going little easy on the make-up is the key. I have simply used a basic mousse make-up base with an even more nude tone matt finished lipstick with Kohl smoky eyes to highlight the hazel colour of my eyes. The more lighter the shade of your eyes, the darker you can go with the kohl..
So here it is ladies… HOLI couldn’t have been more fashionable!!!! Stay you, stay real, Dazzle away & be safe with colours!!!!! Wish you all lovelies a very very happy HOLI!!
