Of all the trends and fashion statements that I have personally loved to explore, try my hand at and finally to shoot with only those that have an edgy cut above my other looks. I love all my looks, right from my no workday comfy mode to formal and informal attires. This is another aspect of the cut out trend that I love. One can actually transform the look completely by adding few accessories and shoes/stilettoes to take you from desk to dinner. The transformation process of making a particular attire your own by sheer layers or touch of the right accessory makes it special. The key lies in making even your cute and teeny-weeny accessories be used in a way you never used before.
When my sister sent me a link to the cut out trend with Helen dress by Stalk Buy Love, I fell in love with it at the first glance itself. This skater dress has the perfect cut out design right along your waistline to accentuate and enhance your silhouette and add a bit of glamour to the two-coloured dress. Black and blue has lately been my hot favourite combination throughout whole of February. I realized that I have donned several shades of blue topped with all types of black and grey layering. The Helen dress has been designed using cotton spandex material for the added comfort. So even if you are working for long hours or have a long day ahead, this dress is just apt for your comfy days without having to worry about wearing a dress that after a while makes it uncomfortable for you. I ordered it a size smaller and it still fitted me absolutely well, all thanks to the cotton spandex stretch. The blue pleats add a bounce and gives a girly feel to the outfit. I decided to team it up with my black and blue leather platform heels. If you want to opt for a sporty vibe, you can team it up with sport shoes as well.
I decided to keep the accessories minimal with this one, as the main highlight for me was this cut-out Helen dress from Stalk Buy Love. You can check it out right here.
I opted for some cool, yet minimal accessories to go with this. I have been wearing this Paris inspired bracelet right from ripped denims to leather skirts and even cut out dresses. I added a gold and black stones ring that gives a little metallic effect and brings out the black element in the best possible way. Both the ring and the bracelet can be bought from @RimayuFashion (Instagram Handle).
This dress would have been incomplete without a metallic leather fringe bag that is both handy and chic. I am particularly in love with the pleated leather handles of this bag. This jazzy fringe bag can be purchased from Stalk Buy Love. With dual tones in your dresses, make sure to optimize the look to the fullest by adding a metallic burst in the form of bags, shoes or layering.
For my make-up I knew I wanted to highlight the eyes, hence a mix of winged eyeliner and kohl eyes. I wanted to go for a day look and hence I went ahead with a blush that doesn’t stand out and make my face look brighter. Oriflame’s VeryMe Cherry My Cheeks, sweet coral shade has added just the right pinch of lightest and one of the cutest shades of pink to my cheeks. You need this in your make-up stash for all your day looks. I opted for some dark lippies and giving a very apt bold look is Oriflame’s The One lipstick in Berrylicious shade. Though it is a matt lipstick, it has a perfect amount of creaminess that doesn’t chap your lips. With most of the Oriflame lippies, you donot need to even apply the lip balm. Lately I have been using two of these Oriflame products on the go and they make for a perfect combination of soft cheeks and bold lips.
