Recently, I attended a special screening for Talvar film, which is directed by Meghna Gulzar. Honestly intrigued right from the first visuals of the film. Everywhere you turn, you have almost 10 different films being served across different ranks of masala films and it is indeed a once in a rare while scenario when a film like Talvar gets made. My initial response to the trailers along with the different age groups in my own family was that we all wanted to watch this one. Earnest films like these need to be appreciated when created.
Everyone knows about the 2008 murder case in Noida on which the film is based and this film showcases such an unbiased version from the start itself. I was even more kicked about watching Talvar for two reasons, one being Irrfan Khan and second one the intriguing mind I have. It is really a mystery how the mind works and how we as individuals react to different situations. Talvar makes you think and how. It also makes you ponder, worry, laugh, cry and also be a part of this journey with the characters. I personally loved the quirky bits and parts of perfect one-liners and straight to the dialogues.
Talvar had an outstanding cast where everyone has just nailed their roles. Right from Irrfan Khan as the quirky and intelligent detective to Konkana Sen and Neeraj Kabi as the grieving parents. There are parts of the film where you feel that the case is solved and will lead to conclusion soon only to deliver a new twist that will take you by surprise. This is really a one of its kind film with a bigger perspective.
You’ll know what I mean when you actually get to see it as it is all geared up to be released on 2nd October. This isn’t your typical masala movie about I highly recommend all of guys should watch it. Double thumbs up for this one!! Make sure to leave your comments and reviews here once you see it next week.
