Shades Of India Latest Showcase

Design One Exhibition at NSCI, Worli has been buzzing today since early morning and one of my favourite brands was in town and this time with double the excitement, as they were ready to launch their newest collection. I know all those of you following me have been eagerly awaiting a sneak peek into the newest collection of fashion and home decor brought to you from excellence at par under this international brand – Shades Of India.

I have picked two of my absolute favourite outfits from the newest collection of Shades Of India and I have decided to bring these looks exclusively for those of you who would want to pick out similar outfits by dropping by at the exhibition tomorrow, which will be on from 11 am to 8 pm. The first option of greyish pyjama and cornellred kurti was an excellent mix of easy breezy yet elegant look put together in less than a jiffy and yet crafted with so much finesse and care. The shine must have told you by now that this is pure and 100% silk. Its very famously known as the “habutal silk” which is made in China. The best part about their collection was that the fit was a big hit amongst the shoppers and the fall along with the intricate detailing had been taken care by the design director and the owner herselfMandeepNagi. I loved the shimmery greyish touch she has added to the bright red, self printed kurta on the sleeves and along the neckline. This look would be my ideal pick for causal dinners or even functions for that matter. I am so in love with the super soft fabric, which has an even lighter texture.

Here’s presenting an absolute jaw droppingly gorgeous ghagra-choli inspired from Rajasthani folk touch. Firstly the colour palette is so fresh and vibrant. Each and every colour had so many variants and shades catering to all moods. I picked a deep green golden butticholi which has a deep round neck at the back as you can see with a very delicately designed dori(thread to tie the two ends) too. The soft cotton crushed dark purple ghagra brings out a perfect contrast in the entire outfit. This is again one of their most loved collections, which brings out your Indian side. This outfit would be ideal for any weddings to receptions and even your Sangeet functions since the ghagra is a blend of fashion and comfort. Look at the lacy ends of the ghagra, which gives such a beautiful silhouette. I am particularly in love with the hand crafted beaded statement neckpiece with a dark maroon palette and a golden beads bracelet to add just the right amount of oomph. The oxidized looking ‘potli’ (bag) which completes this look on point, don’t you think so. The purple brocade dupatta can be draped in more ways than one as per the occasion. You can get such a wide range of thread work, fabrics, patterns and colours only at Shades Of India stall at Design One exhibition at NSCI, Worli. Also did I mention that you can catch them there tomorrow on 23rd Sept from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. So hurry and make sure to send their way some love on Instagram – @ShadesOfIndia & Facebook – @ShadesOfIndia and stay in sync with all the happenings.
