Well, men deserve every bit of fashion too, both from the designing and donning end!!. In these changing times with women running the world shoulder to shoulder with men, here’s to handing over the pedestal to them for the very first India Luxury Style Week 2015 dedicated fashion week only for MEN & I got a chance to cover this live right from the center of the fashion mania.
This exclusive men’s week was launched by, none other than the heartthrob actor – Akshay Kumar on Tuesday in Bandra, Mumbai at “La Ruche”.
The always fashionable & a delight to the eyes, Akshay Kumar was also declared the ambassador of the event and he was introduced right at the end of the show as a terrific show-stopper. He looked super dapper in his three piece light blue suit, flaunting two accessories for the occasion – his shaded glares and a stick with a skull right atop. Boy Oh Boy, talk about exuding ground-breaking awesomeness. The event also had Neil Nitin Mukesh as the showstopper and several other celebs including Madhurima Tuli, Urvashi Rautela, Krishika Lulla, designer Rocky S, Anu Malik with daughter Anmol and Zarine Khan among others.
Akshay Kumar stuck to the event specific questions & steered clear from any Gabbar related questions. I am glad that he chose to respect the event and the occasion, such a gentleman. For me personally, the highlight of the night was when the media asked him what does Twinkle Khanna think of his style. That was enough to get the macho flustered into a teenage boy and with that sheepish smile, he always takes fashion advice from his loving fashionista wife. That ladies and gents, was such an awww moment and I could see all the ladies floored right then and how. He is the perfect epitome of machismo, grace and family guy! India Luxury Style Week couldn’t have been better and bigger than this.
A very special shoutout to the man behind the India luxury style week who conceptualized and put up the whole show together – Mr. Ramesh Dembla, who showcased his special men’s collection too. So much of hard work, bringing together of designers under one roof, stylized looks and not to forget, making a mark in the men’s fashion world. Akshay and Ramesh have known each other for 26 years and share a bond like brothers and so Akshay was more than Happy to be part of this Event. So, all the men out there you know what to watch out for & ladies no harm if you keep needing more of this too 😉
Just imagine how sizzling the fashion week will be in August 2015! Cant wait to see more.
