Lazy Girl’s Guide To Travelling In Style!

Hey, My Sassy Fam!! This year has been filled with travels for me, whether it is for work or leisure and those who know me, exactly know how happy these travels make me. With every travel, adventure, culture exchange I have learned something new, broadened my horizons and have come back home enriched! I am trying to put together few blogs and YouTube videos in the last few weeks for you all, where I address all of your frequently asked travel related questions to me. But for starters, I thought let me begin with my most awaited “Lazy Girl’s Guide To Travelling In Style” article. I mean it’s great to have multiple pieces of outfits and accessories in your suitcase, but selecting the right styles and making few smart choices is extremely important as that’s what saves up your baggage weight and helps you come back with way more shopping. Who gets me???

So I’ve decided to take you through 4 looks of mine from my last travel to Kashmir & Mussoorie that saved me so much packing space and it also helped me when it came to styling these versatile pieces.  So the first must have outfit when you are traveling is a comfy, long pleated dress. I selected this long striped dress one from Soul Magic as they tailor make such beautiful Indian, indo-western or ethnic wear options.  The benefit of opting for dresses when you travel is free movement and unending comfort. Plus, add a denim jacket or a bomber over the dress and you have a completely different look 2 right there. This red and white striped dress has sequined work on the sleeves and the best part is that it also comes with pockets. Make sure to select dresses with pockets for travel looks as you will thank yourself later. This outfit comes with a waistband so that you can adjust the fit as you want.

These kinds of dresses work on shoes and boots both, so select your favorite striped print colors before you head out on your next travel. We shot these pictures on our way to and at the beautiful Pahalgam in Kashmir.

The 2nd outfit that I’m going to be speaking about is this cute floral printed Indian wear.

Firstly, in a place like Kashmir, I would suggest, carry your best Indian wear outfits as the pictures against these dreamy backgrounds of the Dal Lake and Nehru Garden, it will be such a perfect fit. Also, I wanted to have my very own “Bollywood” moment, with these Jannat like backgrounds that usually we see in Hindi films, old Hindi films especially.

My love for florals is an everlasting love affair, so I was thrilled when I came across this gorgeous Indian Wear creation by Soul Magic. I like the intricate gold thread work on the kurta and the contrasting culottes. It also comes with an embellished dupatta which is easy to carry, and isn’t too big for me and the culottes can be teamed up with another tee or jacket as well. Having 1-2 culottes on your travel is a smart choice as it helps you style this one piece in so many different ways, from Indian to Indo-western looks. We shot these looks on Dal Lake on this particular cloudy day and at the famous Nehru Garden in Srinagar. Stay tuned for our Kashmir Vlog and article which should be up soon

The 3rd look has 3 of the most important pieces that one should have on travels – collared shirt/top + long front opened coat + palazzos. I like how beautifully Soul Magic has combined my favorite color pink in 2 drop-dead gorgeous shades.  Apart from this contrasting pink combination, I love the fact that it allows me to use every single piece from this look and team it up with some other looks.

I have literally thrown this long jacket over so many looks on this trip. Also, the beige colored shirt that I am wearing inside can be worn as is separately too. Not to mention the endless pairing up possibilities with the Palazzo.

The 4th look is again from Soul Magic that I had worn during our last trip to Mussoorie and this is again a unique number to have. I picked this polka-dotted bodycon dress from Primark and this pleated see-through skirt is by Soul Magic. Yes, this is a bodycon dress that I have used it as a top here. Try to include such versatile pieces in your travel looks so that you actually save up space in your bags and the outcome is something unique and different. I love the green-on-green effect of this look and this skirt can also be teamed up with a long oversized tee, as the see-through skirt panel gives a three-dimensional effect to this look.

I hope you guys enjoyed my Lazy Girl’s Guide To Travelling In Style as much as I did putting this all together. Looking forward to penning down my next travel/fashion/beauty story!!! What do you guys wanna hear next??
